Tom Cruise feels the need — the need for pants. We'll all find out whether jumping up and down on yellow couches is good for your glutes when the upcoming film Rock of Ages hits theaters this June, as star Tom Cruise's bare backside will be on the big screen for all to drool over see. And we'll discover just how firm his butt is these days. (Get it? Because he was in the movie The Firm? Never mind.)

This won't be the first film in which Tom's "top buns" are exposed, as his posterior had previously stolen scenes in Eyes Wide Shut and Far and Away. But at 49, it's definitely risky business for the mega-watt star of the Mission: Impossible franchise to still be willing to drop trou. (You want the tush? You can't handle the tush!)

Was Tom skiddish about showing his tropic thunder on camera for the star-studded musical? A little, as he was hoping director Adam Shankman could find a way to shoot the scene without revealing his "vanilla behind." When Adam informed him that he couldn't (thank you, Adam!), Tom just had one more question: How does my butt look onscreen? When Adam replied, "It's fantastic," Tom was ready to roll. Hold on a sec — so you're telling us that there's a job where you get paid to tell Tom Cruise what his naked butt looks like? Sign us up!

Rock of Ages, co-starring Alec Baldwin, Russell Brand, and Julianne Hough, opens on June 15. Make sure to buy a ticket to let Tom know you're "behind" him all the way.

And by the way, we're sorry for all the butt puns. We probably made one too many cracks about his butt. (Get it — "crack"?)
