The premiere of The Real Housewives of New York hasn’t even aired yet, but already the cast is throwing punches at each other.

As Housewives fans may have heard, new Season 5 cast member Aviva Drescher will be a major source of drama once the show premieres. But returning cast member Sonja Morgan isn’t waiting for the rest of the world to see for themselves. She tells the New York Observer that all of the charitable work Aviva claims to do is just a big lie.

A bit of background: Aviva is an amputee, and in the Season 5 premiere, she says that she’s been helping other people with prosthetic limbs since she was 20 years old. She has been photographed at many SoulCycle charity events for the One Step Ahead Foundation, although she isn’t mentioned in the organization’s mission statement.

Sonja says, “We all went to one of her SoulCycle events, but she wasn’t really involved with any charities.” Sonja also brought up a touchy subject: Aviva’s ex-husband Harry Dubin is one of Sonja’s best friends, and Sonja told the Observer, “I ran into her [Harry] and he was just as surprised; he said Aviva never did any philanthropy.”

Of course, Aviva had her own accusations to contribute once she was contacted for a rebuttal. Aviva said, “It’s absurd. I’ve been helping people who were amputees, one-on-one, since I was 20. I’ve been the national spokesperson for One Step Ahead for approximately five years.”

But perhaps the best dig played on Sonja’s own self-promoted party girl image. Aviva said, “Besides, Sonja Morgan is an alcoholic.”

Ouch! If all this is happening before the show even airs, we know we’re in for a wild ride this summer.

The Real Housewives of New York Season 5 premieres on Monday, June 4 at 9 p.m. ET/PT on Bravo.
