Justin Timberlake may have taken a graceful bow out of the music industry for a few years (six, for those of us who have been obsessively counting down the seconds until his return), but it seems that he’s got plenty of material to keep fans satisfied in the near future.
While JT’s latest album, The 20/20 Experience, doesn’t officially drop until March 19, people are already questioning some of the former *NSYNCer’s math. The album’s title has some people scratching their heads, as the album has only 10 tracks total.
However, MTV reports that the album is the first half of a two-part collection and that the second 10 songs will be released on a separate album in the fall.
Roots drummer Questlove, who had spent the previous week collaborating with Justin during his appearance on Late Night With Jimmy Fallon, confirmed this rumor online, writing, “20/20 Vol. 2 comes out in Nov. 10 songs now ... 10 songs later = 20 vision."
While some critics have criticized the album’s first single, “Suit & Tie,” which proved quite a departure from the star’s previous, poppier sound, Questlove came to Justin’s defense, saying the direction of his latest album took “balls.”
