There was no love to be found in the hopeless place of Boston's TD Garden this week.

Rihanna had a concert there on May 6, as part of her Diamonds World Tour, and she managed to seriously tick off fans by arriving late and having no opening act. So fans were left huddled together for three hours, waiting for something to happen.

Rihanna had to cancel her Boston concert back in March due to illness, so this was a chance to make it up to fans, while also showing love for the city that recently suffered from the Boston Marathon bombings. According to Boston.com, "When she returned Monday night, to another sold-out crowd of close to 14,500 people, it should have been spectacular. Instead, she took the stage around 10:30 p.m., 90 minutes after her scheduled set time. Rapper A$AP Rocky, her opening act, was a no-show because he was sick, leaving a DJ to fill three hours of silence. Adding insult to injury? There was no announcement about the delays, or even a tweet from the artist, and certainly no apology at any point."

So fans created their own music: booing — as you can hear in this Vine clip. And here are some angry online responses to the delay (via RumorFix):

Dev22: “So pissed at Rihanna. We waited three hours for you, not to mention the 2 months we waited after your first cancelled show. Waste of money."

Christopher James: “So, Rihanna you suck. Love Boston.”

Jodi Kulinitch: “And we will never forget you showing up on stage finally at 10:30pm….after your opening act was a no show & not even apologizing.”

Rihanna posted a concert photo on Instagram, writing, "#BOSTON I will never forget this night!!! I truly have deeper love for you now!!! Thank you for making it extra special!! #DWT."

Not all fans were supportive, some adding their own angry comments under her note:

• "I will never ever go to another Rihanna concert again. You have no respect for your fans and you don't deserve our money. So disappointed"

• "Can't come to Boston and f*ck with us ... sorry phuck with us. still love you RiRi but next time show Beantown a lil mo respect!!"

So, yeah, Rihanna may want to steer clear of Beantown for a while.
