Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart are in no mood to RSVP.

The ex Twilight couple are already exhausted from dancing around their messy, painful break-up in high-profile interviews. And, according to sources, the pair is so tired of answering (and avoiding) questions about the cheating scandal that neither of them are going to show up at the MTV Video Music Awards in September.

According to GossipCop, sources from MTV and the Toronto Film Festival confirm that neither Rob nor Kristen will appear on the red carpet, as presenters, or even attend the widely watched TV event at the Staples Center on September 6.

Kristen will reportedly be in Toronto, doing press for On the Road, in which she co-stars with the very sexy Garrett Hedlund (check out the trailer here). Just last night (August 16), however, Kristen was a no-show at the film’s London premiere.

As for Rob, GossipCop reports that he was never confirmed to attend the VMAs in the first place.

Are they causing more of a stir for avoiding each other? And how long will it take before they can face the press separately, but together? Maybe we'll have to wait until the premiere of Breaking Dawn - Part 2 to find out.

The MTV Video Music Awards will air Thursday, September 6, at 8 p.m. ET/PT on MTV.
