Twilight star Robert Pattinson has already admitted Fifty Shades of Grey isn't really his thing. Joking around, on the other hand, is definitely his thing.

Fans are eagerly awaiting official casting news for the first Fifty Shades of Grey film, and Rob keeps getting asked about his interest in playing the lead male role, Christian Grey.

Apparently tired of the question, or just in the mood to goof around, Rob told MSN (via Books & Review) "I am playing that part," meaning Christian. But then he added, "I also wrote the book." Then he laughed.

Unless E.L. James is just a front for Rob as the true author, he didn't write the books and we can probably nail the coffin on him ever playing Christian, even though James has said she was inspired by Twilight in writing her Fifty Shades books. His loss! And maybe Ian Somerhalder or Matt Bomer’s gain?
