Lucky Christina Hendricks is in Ryan Gosling's inner circle. Not only did she get to work with him in Drive, he chose her for a lead role in his directorial debut, How to Catch a Monster.
Christina talked to NW in Sydney, Australia, and they asked her all about Ry-guy — including what it was like to get the casting call from him.
"Um, I was a bit giddy, I think!" the Mad Men star revealed. "My manager called and said, ‘Ryan Gosling wants to call you, is it ok if I give him your number? And I was like, “YES! Yes, of course it’s ok!’ So I think I was a bit excited and nervous when he called, and then he said he’d been writing this script and he’d imagined me in this lead role, and would I take a look at the script."
Christina called Ryan "incredibly talented and incredibly charming" but she's happily married and said she'd never even consider leaving her man for the actor. But other women are very interested in her co-star, and when asked for more about what he's like, she answered, "He’s amazing, yeah. He’s very polite, he’s very lovely. He’s everything you want him to be!"
We knew it! She was also kind enough to plug his band, Dead Man's Bones. She should probably do PR for him. Read the full interview for a lot more from Christina on her personal style and nostalgia for wacky red carpet fashions like Bjork and Cher used to wear. Agreed. Those were the days.
