It's no secret that Ryan Gosling has already stolen the hearts of America. But does he want to steal more than that?
Ryan Gosling is currently at the Toronto International Film Festival (note to self: must book flight to Toronto immediately) where his new film, The Place Beyond the Pines, debuted last night to an "enthusiastic reception from a sold-out crowd," according to Deadline. Then again, who isn't enthusiastic about a chance to see Ryan Gosling on the big screen?
The Gos spoke to Showbiz 411 about his character, who robs banks in upstate New York, and he revealed a deep, dark secret about himself. "I have always wanted to ride motorcycles and rob banks," Ryan admitted. He then added, "And it's easier than you think. The banks are told to just give you the money." Seriously — could this guy be any more of a badass? We think not.
And does the fact that Ryan became an internet meme with the whole "Hey, Girl" phenomenon seem a bit weird to him? "How could it not?" he asked Showbiz 411. "I know about it, but you can't think about it." Actually, Ryan, we don't quite agree with that, since we think about you a lot.
The film — which co-stars fellow hottie Bradly Cooper and Ryan's real-life love interest Eva Mendes — is apparently a very unusual crime thriller and is directed by the same guy who directed Ryan in Blue Valentine. (Wait, so this guy got to be around Ryan during not one but two films? We're officially jealous.)
Now that Focus Features has secured distribution rights for Place Beyond the Pines, we'll get double the Gos in 2013: Ryan's movie Gangster Squad is set to open in January, and Place Beyond the Pines will also hit theaters next year.
