Mila Kunis has come a long way since her middle school days in Los Angeles. The Ukrainian-born actress, who couldn’t speak any English at age 7 when she and her family moved to L.A., is now one of Hollywood’s most in-demand leading ladies.
Mila got her big break as self- and Kelso-obsessed Jackie Burkhart on That ‘70s Show back in 1998, when she was 14, and when the popular sitcom wrapped in 2006, she started landing prime roles in movies like Forgetting Sarah Marshall, The Book of Eli, and Date Night. But it was her turn as an edgy ballerina in 2010’s Black Swan that made her one hot Hollywood commodity, leading to star billing in 2011’s Friends With Benefits, this year’s Ted, and Sam Raimi’s upcoming Oz: The Great and Powerful.
Oozing a unique combination of girl-next-door charm and sex appeal, Mila isn’t your typical big-screen starlet — and the same goes for her private life. Fiercely guarded, Mila kept her now-defunct 8-year relationship with Home Alone star Macaulay Culkin completely on the down-low. “I keep my personal life as personal as I physically, mentally, possibly can,” she once told The Arizona Republic.
Mila is currently filming Blood Ties with Clive Owen in New York City, and we’re happy to report that the newly curvy star has gained back most of the 20 pounds she had to drop for Black Swan. She recently admitted to Harper’s BAZAAR that at her base weight of 95 pounds she was “a little brick house, but skin and bones.”
She’ll always be gorgeous — and we’ll always be jealous.
