It's official: we’ve all fallen in love with everything Sex and the City. The Manolos, the men, the Manhattan hot spots, and perhaps most importantly, the sex. But the Season 1 finale (Season 1, Episode 12, "Oh Come All Ye Faithful") left us with a lot of questions. Could Samantha (Kim Cattrall) really be in a committed relationship with a not-so-well-endowed man? Will Miranda (Cynthia Nixon) ever take love more seriously than her job? Will Charlotte (Kristin Davis) ever find a husband?
And then there’s the biggest question of all: Will Mr. Big (Chris Noth) and Carrie (Sarah Jessica Parker) ever get back together?
First, a refresher on where we left off with the girls as Season 1 came to a close. Despite all her efforts to legitimize her relationship with Big and take it from a casual fling to a the kind of partnership where he gladly introduces her to his mother at church services and consults with her before spending extended time in Paris for work, Carrie ultimately could not change him.
We watched Charlotte transform from a borderline easygoing gallerina into a determined marriage hunter, finally desperately asking a psychic if marriage was in her future (probably not, says fate’s henchwoman). And Samantha, the woman who acts like a man when it comes to sex, had fallen disastrously in love. James may be perfect in many ways, but his, ahem, shortcomings may be a dealbreaker.
Here’s what we know about Season 2 so far.

Miranda will actually meet a guy whom she falls in love with — despite her best efforts not to. While the sex is great, it sounds like this blue-collar guy is so intimidated by her high-powered job that it might split them up.
Charlotte will freak out about her sexual prowess after a guy falls asleep on top of her! She signs the girls up for a Tantric Sex workshop, and there will be a hilarious scene where a certain liquid shoots across the room and lands on one of the girls’ faces.
We’ll finally meet one of the girls’ siblings: Charlotte’s brother! He’s attractive and charming, but just recently split from his wife. We’ll give you one guess as to which girl gets him into bed.
Look out for a major A-list musician to play one of Carrie’s love interests. Not only will he come gift-wrapped with major commitment issues (just like Big), but she’ll meet him — gasp! — in her therapist’s office. Yes, Carrie will be seeing a therapist, but don’t expect her relationship with her shrink to be a match made in heaven.
Big gets engaged... but is Carrie his fiancee? Towards the end of Season 2, Carrie is becoming more and more anxious to see Big again. She finally does, at a crowded beach party in the Hamptons. But he has a bigger-than-big surprise for her, and yes, it involves an engagement. You’ll have to wait and see exactly what that means when Season 2 returns in June!
Catch the Sex and the City Season 2 premiere on Sunday, June 6 at 9 p.m. ET/PT on HBO.
