UPDATE: At 6:25 p.m. on Sunday, ABC News tweeted, "#BREAKINGNEWS Mexican official says wreckage of plane believed to be carrying Jenni Rivera found; no survivors."
At this point, details are sketchy on what happened this morning to the Monterrey, Mexico plane carrying singer Jenni Rivera, four other passengers, and two pilots. The aircraft lost contact with air traffic controllers in Mexico early Sunday morning. CNN reported everyone on board is missing in a suspected crash.
The flight reportedly left Monterrey around 3:15 a.m. and lost contact about 60 miles away. According to TMZ, the plane was bound for Toluca.
Jenni, star of the I Love Jenni reality show on Telemundo and a coach on The Voice Mexico, had a concert in Monterrey on Saturday night. According to CNN, Jenni was born in Long Beach, CA to Mexican immigrant parents and sings traditional Mexican ballads. She was recently named one of People En Espanol's 25 most powerful women. She has more than 1,373,500 Twitter followers, with her last tweet sent early this morning. According to KGWN, she's a mother of five children and grandmother of two.
TMZ says Jenni, age 43, is now feared dead, but we hope this story has a happy ending for everyone on board that plane.
