An athlete-turned-actor has sadly left the game.

Brad Lesley died on April 27 from kidney failure at age 54, according to TMZ.

Brad had apparently been living in a nursing home for the past seven months due to kidney problems and was on dialysis.

Brad started out as a pro baseball player, playing for the Milwaukee Brewers from 1982 to 1985.

However, he then gave acting a try, and things worked out for him there as well.

He appeared in numerous sports films in the '90s, including Space Jam, Mr. Baseball, and Little Big League, in which he played a stressed-out pitcher.

Our thoughts are with his family and loved ones at this difficult time.
