Taylor Swift hasn’t exactly kept her string of high-profile romances out of the headlines so it comes as no surprise to hear that the country singer doesn’t mind taking a chance or two (or three, or four) on love.
In a recent interview with Marie Claire magazine, the 22-year old star, who is currently in the midst of an extended summer fling with Conor Kennedy, admits that she falls fast when “it’s the right person,” even if she’s fresh off the heels of a bitter break-up.
The singer says she holds out for love "even after it explodes into a million pieces and burns down and you’re standing a pile of the ash of what it once was thinking, 'Why did I have to meet this person, why did this have to happen?'"
"But then, when you make eye contact with someone across the room and it clicks and, bam, you’re there. In love again."
And while Taylor may be romantically hopeful, she makes no apologies for turning a scorned romance into beautiful, money-makin' music.
"It’s not like it’s in fine print," she says when asked about how her exes feel when they turn up in her tunes. "But music is absolutely everything that I am and everything that I stand for. It’s not my fault if someone gets into a relationship with me and then cheats and I write a song about it."
