Taylor Swift should come with a warning label: "If we break up, I'm going to write about it."
That's actually a direct quote from her new interview with the New York Times. She told one guy she wouldn't write about him after their break-up, and then she did it anyway. Why?
"Look, it’s not like it was written somewhere in the fine print that I write songs about my life," Taylor said. "If we break up, I’m going to write about it. But I’m probably also going to write about when I fell in love with you. So there’s an upside."
There doesn't seem to be much upside for the guy featured in her “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together” song, who is referenced finding his peace of mine with an indie record much cooler than hers. What's the story there? "That all came out of this one relationship I was in. This guy was just, so, so cool. It kind of gave me a bit of a complex for this album, because he was always going on and on about this new band that was so cool because they were so underground. I have so many indie bands on my iPod. What I don’t really understand is the attitude that if a band is unknown, they’re good, and if they get fans, then you move on to the next band."
Yeah, that would be bad news for Taylor, if people just moved on once someone is popular. She was asked if that was about Jake Gyllenhaal, as heavily rumored. She won't name who the song is about, but said he is not a musician.
So Jake, you're still in the running. Bu Taylor may have met her match, if she realy is dating One Direction's Harry Styles. He seems like the type who wouldn't be above a good kiss and tell.
