Taylor Swift’s big heart apparently extends beyond charity groups and non-profit organizations. The country singer, who was recently named the most charitable star of 2012, has opted not to press charges against the man who attempted to break into her Nashville home earlier this month.

24-year-old Jacob Kulke was arrested on Friday, December 14 for hopping a fence at Taylor’s home, telling security guards he was the singer’s boyfriend.

The overly enthusiastic fan, who had previously been convicted of battery, disorderly conduct, and drug possession, reportedly took a bus from Wisconsin to Tennessee to celebrate Taylor’s 23rd birthday. Luckily, the singer wasn’t home to confront her intruder.

Despite the close call, Taylor’s lawyers don’t feel it’s necessary to press charges against Jacob, noting that he doesn’t seem like a threat and that it wouldn’t be worth wasting taxpayers’ dollars to try a case.

“He is delighted,” Jacob’s lawyer said of his client. “He wanted to prove that he didn’t trespass and he is thrilled.”

Let’s just hope he’s not thrilled enough to attempt another impromptu visit!
