The Office is ending tonight, May 16, and NBC has revealed details on what will happen and who will show up.
According to the finale synopsis (via Zap2it): "Months after the airing of the documentary, the workers of Dunder Mifflin, past and present, gather for a wedding and a final round of interviews. Mysteries are solved, hatchets are buried, pranks are prunked."
So that’s an interesting twist — all this time they've been filming that documentary in the office, but by this point the characters will have all seen the doc and can react to what they’ve said about each other.
Who is coming back? Here are the listed past stars: Mindy Kaling (Kelly) and B.J. Novak (Ryan), Andy Buckley (David Wallace), Bobby Ray Shafer (Bob Vance), Mike Schur (Mose Schrute) and Matt Jones (Dwight's cousin Zeke). Listed guest stars include Rachael Harris, Dakota Johnson, Joan Cusack, Ed Begley Jr. and Malcolm Barrett. But just because someone’s name isn’t listed by NBC doesn’t mean they couldn’t show up as a surprise.
There will also be an hour-long special looking back at the nine years of The Office, airing right before the finale.
