Sex & the City is coming back to TV... or at least Carrie Bradshaw is. The CW put in an order for the pilot of The Carrie Diaries, a show based on our favorite fashionista’s teenage years. Like the original series, it will focus on her friendships and love life, but something tells us there will be a lot less sex.

Last summer, The Carrie Diaries was under consideration to be made into a movie, with Gossip Girl starlet Blake Lively as young Carrie. Since she’s still contracted to play Serena in Season 6, they’ll most likely have to find someone else to take the lead. Might we suggest Candice Accola?

The CW also green-lighted two other pilots, Green Arrow and Beauty and the Beast. The former is a “modern retelling” of a comic book, and the latter is based on a TV series that ran in the 80s and 90s. Interestingly, it will have a “procedural twist.” We can’t wait to see how that will play out!

We’ll have to wait and see if The CW likes them enough to order more episodes, but so far we’re intrigued!
