The Walking Dead returns with its third season this Sunday and — spoiler alert — there will be blood, guts, and gore aplenty.
According to TVLine, the first two episodes feature “a lot of death,” though Michael Ausiello remains mum on whether main characters are among those unfortunate victims. However, he clarifies that the series regular slated to “bite” it during Season 3 won’t meet his (or her) walker maker right off the bat. (But OMG, who will it be?)
Also in the premiere, Carol (Melissa McBride) and Daryl (Norman Reedus) take their opposites-attract thing to a slightly more tender level. “The two share a sweet — dare I say flirty — moment in Sunday’s premiere,” teases Ausiello. This is good news, since we’re kind of tired of Daryl masking his feelings with dickishness.
We’ve saved the most chilling reveal for last: The midseason finale is tentatively titled “Made to Suffer.” It’s probably going to end in a cliffhanger, which will then segue into an agonizing hiatus. Meaning we’ll probably suffer more than the zombie-plagued characters.
Seriously, guys, we’ve barely survived the gap between Seasons 2 and 3.
The Walking Dead premieres this Sunday, October 14 on AMC.
