Out of respect for all of the families in Connecticut, Paramount has decided to postpone the U.S. premiere of Tom Cruise’s latest action flick, Jack Reacher.

E! Online reports that the movie was scheduled to show in Pittsburgh on Sunday and has not yet been given a new premiere date.

Paramount released the following statement:

“Due to the terrible tragedy ... and out of honor and respect for the families of the victims whose lives were senselessly taken, we are postponing tomorrow's Pittsburgh premiere of Jack Reacher. Our hearts go out to all those who lost loved ones.”

This news comes after Syfy recently pulled an episode of Haven that featured violence in a high school from its line-up.
