UPDATE: In late March, Emma Stone clarified to Ryan Seacrest that her Twitter account was hacked and she didn't tweet the message. "I’ve tweeted one time to Seth MacFarlane. I said, ‘Me too, oh boy.’ And then I’ve been hacked ever since." She was locked out of the account but she's been trying to figure out how to delete it. "I heard the other day they tweeted an anagram about Shailene Woodley — who is one of my favorite human beings on the planet. I heard it was an anagram of Shailene and Andrew sitting in a tree… That was absolutely, I swear to you, not me. I’ve never tweeted other than that one time."

Original story:

Emma Stone may be too busy being a major movie star, brand spokesperson, and seemingly all-around likeable girl to spend much time on Twitter, but it seems that over the weekend, she had some time on her hands and something big on her mind.

The Gangster Squad actress went on her never-before-used Twitter account on Saturday and sent out a cryptic message, which read, "nawder nad islasehne tsintgi ni a erte."

Although it seems the message could be the product of a pocket Tweet, Perez Hilton reports that the seemingly nonsensical jumble of letters is an anagram of "Andrew and Shailene sitting in a tree," the parties in question being Stone's boyfriend and The Amazing Spider-Man co-star Andrew Garfield and Shailene Woodley, who stars opposite the hunky Brit in the Amazing Spider-Man sequel.

While Stone could be referring to Woodley's role as Spider-Man's love interest Mary Jane Watson in the upcoming film, the star deleted the Tweet shortly after posting it, causing many to speculate that there is trouble between the stars.

Regardless of the state of their personal affairs, we hope the young stars will have their next romantic drama play out somewhere more private, like the big screen.
