Wetpaint Entertainment caught up with Bridesmaids star Wendi McLendon-Covey at the New Now Next Awards in Hollywood on April 5, 2012 (airs Monday, April 9, at 10 p.m. on Logo) to find out what the hilarious blonde's been up to on the heels of her award-winning comedy and whether or not we're going to see a Bridesmaids sequel anytime soon. The exclusive details below!

Wetpaint Entertainment: What’s up next for you?

Wendi McLendon-Covey: I just filmed a pilot yesterday for ABC called Only Fools and Horses, which is a remake of a British show. It stars John Leguizamo, Christopher Lloyd, Dustin Ybarra and myself. It’s a pretty good cast, right? All the odd-balls! It was really, really fun and there’s nothing like it on TV.

We know Bridesmaids fans everywhere are dying to know whether or not there will be a sequel, can you shed any light on that?

I don’t know! You know I wish I had a definitive answer to that, and since it’s been a year since we debuted it, it seems like I should have an answer but I don’t. I really don’t know. I mean, we’re all on board if there’s a script that comes along that’s just as good or better; of course we’re going to do another one. But right now no one has the time to write that, so everybody is pretty busy.

Well, we're keeping our fingers crossed!

I know, right? I think we need to tie up some loose ends! The audience wants to see it!
