Edward Furlong is about to say hasta la vista to some scary-big spiders.

Best known for playing John Connor in the 1991 action hit Terminator 2: Judgment Day, a role that earned him critical acclaim at age 14, and Danny Vinyard in 1998’s American History X, Eddie Furlong has mostly faded into obscurity since his early heyday. So what is the 34-year-old former heartthrob (and Paris Hilton ex) up to now?

After a lengthy battle with drug and alcohol addiction and a string of mostly forgettable movies, Edward is back at it in the new Syfy action/comedy movie Arachnoquake.

The TV movie, which also stars Growing Pains’ brainy Carol (Tracey Gold) and The Little Rascals’ Alfalfa (Bug Hall), is about the biggest threat to New Orleans since Hurricane Katrina: giant albino spiders.

Given the cast, it’s unclear whether these eight-legged foes are out to destroy the Big Easy or former child stars. We’ll find out when Arachnoquake airs June 23.

Head over to Entertainment Weekly to watch the absurdness unfold in the trailer. “It’s time to show daddy long-legs how we roll on the bayou.”
