How sad is that? How telling is that?

Eva Longoria told Dr. Oz she was understandably upset after her split with Tony Parker in late 2011, and stopped taking care of her health. But that time after her breakup was when "I got the most compliments, because I was so skinny. I was not eating," Eva said on The Dr. Oz Show (via Us Weekly). "I was depressed. I was sad. My diet was coffee. People kept saying, 'You look amazing. Divorce agrees with you.' And I was like, 'I don't feel good. I have no energy.' I didn't know I was depressed. I mean, I knew it was a sad moment in my life, but I wouldn't categorize myself as depressed."

Can we hope that most of those people were just trying to be nice and supportive, since no woman coming out of a divorce wants to hear she looks sickly?

Anyway, Eva said she went to the doctor and was told she didn't have any iron and her liver was overreacting, because — news flash! — a coffee diet is not good. The Desperate Housewives alum told Dr. Oz she had to take a lot of vitamins to get back on track, and for about three months she also did a strict no-sugar diet, which gave her more energy than she ever had. So she's trying to cut out all sugar — which is very hard to do since they sneak sugar into so many products — but if you're motivated and it makes you feel good, go for it. As long as she's eating!
