A brand new show has gotten its pink slip from CBS.
CBS has quickly pulled the plug on its new reality series The Job, according to Deadline.
The Job had aired only two episodes but has now been taken off the schedule, which is effective immediately. Undercover Boss will take its Friday night slot at 8 p.m. for the time being.
The show, hosted by Lisa Ling and produced by Survivor creator Mark Burnett, provided contestants with the opportunity to get a job. Hence, the title.
However, it might not have offered enough escapism for viewers. Do we really need a TV show to remind us that it's tough to find employment these days?
Long story short, The Job has been canned.
