With so much speculation about the recent death of legendary superstar Whitney Houston, all eyes are on the Los Angeles County coroner to determine Whitney's actual cause of death — and while that's still pending, one thing is clear: Foul play is not suspected.
The chief coroner for Los Angeles County, Ed Winter, said late Sunday evening that the autopsy was complete, but a full report would not be released until the toxicology report was in. "There are reports she maybe was drowned, or overdosed, but we won't make a final determination until all the tests are in," he said.
As we reported earlier, the coroner has put a security hold on the autopsy reports, which is a common measure when a high-profile individual is involved.
Although no official information has yet been released regarding the cause of death, her tragic passing has been the source of speculation, with reports surfacing that she was found in her bathtub, and that prescription drugs were found in the hotel room.
