Click away NOW if you don't want to know who won Project Runway All Stars!
Project Runway All Stars was supposed to celebrate the best of the best in Project Runway history, so it shouldn't come as a surprise that the final three collections — from Austin Scarlett, Mondo Guerra, and Michael Costello — were all pretty good.
That said, the judges had to pick a winner. So who took home the title?
The winner of Project Runway All Stars is (drumroll...) Mondo Guerra!
Mondo won the judges over with an impressively cohesive collection, which combined his signature patterns genius with an everyday sensibility that his more avant-garde designs sometimes lack. The collection was pure Mondo, but it was a version of Mondo that you could actually see in stores, so we're really not surprised that the judges picked him for the win.
Indeed, if we have any complaints about this result, it's that it was too obvious. Austin's collection had some beautiful standout pieces, but wasn't really cohesive, while Michael's was too marketable — the pieces were nice, but not innovative enough.
We were hoping that All Stars would end with a nail-biter, but after one look at the collections, we knew Mondo was going to take the crown.
