It’s Motherf***ing Samuel L. Jackson, Y'all!
According to The Guinness Book of World Records (via EW), Samuel L. Jackson has been the highest-grossing actor of all time since 2007, having grossed an estimated $7.42 billion since filming his first movie in 1972.
Although arguably best known for his famous Snakes on a Plane line — “There are motherf***ing snakes on the motherf***ing plane” — Jackson has had a long and lucrative career. With over 100 films on his resume, he’s one of the best bets in Hollywood — not for his raw star power or reliable talent, but because he can step into a bit part just as easily as he can be the leading man.
Along with starring roles in Pulp Fiction, Jackie Brown, and The Negotiator, he had throwaway parts in Jurassic Park, the Star Wars prequel trilogy, and Iron Man. The guy is simply a movie-making machine.
He’s also proof that it pays to not be too choosy!
