Kate Middleton’s royal pregnancy is off to a rough start.
The Duchess of Cambridge is suffering from Hyperemesis Gravidarum, which is essentially a severe form of morning sickness. The symptoms include nausea, vomiting, dehydration, and lightheadedness, and the mother-to-be has been hospitalized to ensure that she remains hydrated and well rested.
In a statement to Us Weekly, a St. James Palace spokesperson reveals, "As the pregnancy is in its very early stages, Her Royal Highness is expected to stay in hospital for several days and will require a period of rest thereafter."
