The New Girl has tossed out the old lawsuit.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, New Girl star Zooey Deschanel has called off her lawsuit against Steve Madden, which she filed in December 2010 for alleged nonpayment on a $2 million endorsement deal.

Zooey claimed that her agent firmed up an oral agreement with Madden, allowing the company to use the actress’s name and likeness in connection with shoes and accessories, but that the company never compensated her. When Kohl’s Department Store started selling “Candie’s Zooey shoes” in connection with Steve Madden, Zooey viewed that as an infringement of her publicity rights.

But instead of pursuing the case, Zooey filed a motion last week to dismiss it “with prejudice.” Just don’t expect Jess to start kickin’ it in Steve Madden ballet flats on New Girl.
