Natalie Portman at the 2012 Oscars
School: Harvard University
Talk about an overachiever! While shooting to Hollywood superstardom for her role as Queen Amidala/Padme in the Star Wars movies, Natalie Portman was simultaneously earning a degree in psychology from Harvard. Despite her rising fame, the Black Swan actress says her time at Harvard was pretty normal. She still “gained my freshman 15 or 20," and most of her professors had no clue that she was also a famous actress.
“I didn’t know who she was because her name was Natalie Hershlag,” Law School Professor Alan M. Dershowitz told The Harvard Crimson. “It was a few weeks into the semester that I learned she was an actress — but she was a terrific student.”
