What Does Anna Paquin Think of "Oh Sookie"?
This question has been plaguing all True Blood fans since Snoop Dogg released his cringe-worthy rap song “Oh Sookie” — a single dedicated to the vampire attractant that is Sookie Stackhouse — back in June 2010. Sample lyrics: “What’s hangin’, Sookie? It’s Snoop Dogg. I’m only in Bon Temps for a day. I’m the Dogg that don’t bite. Woof woof.” (Sorry, D-O-double G, but we think Sookie prefers canines who bite... like Alcide.)
Anna Paquin, the actress behind fairy-blooded Sookie, thinks the song is pretty darn funny. She laughed it off on George Lopez Tonight not long after its release, joking that the official term for his backup dancers is “Sookettes.”
In the song Snoop promises to order Sookie a gin and juice at Merlotte’s, so you know he has only the most gentlemanly of intentions.
