Pregnant Kate Middleton in London, April 24, 2013
How does pregnant Kate Middleton do it? After a whirlwind trip to Manchester, the Duchess of Cambridge was back in London last night to attend and say a few words at the National Portrait Gallery! The museum was holding an evening reception for The Art Room, which increases children’s self-confidence and independence through art. Kate is the Royal Patron of the organization.
She showed off her baby bump in a baby blue Emilia Wickstead dress, which Lucky Magazine speculates may be her subtle way of telling us she’s having a boy! Whatever the case, she looks great. She’s also back in one of her beloved pairs of pumps, which is, of course, even more impressive.
Kate’s degree in Art History makes the Art Room’s mission especially important to her! While speaking at the event, she says she visited with them and saw their impact firsthand, reports the Independent: "When I have been fortunate enough to join Art Room sessions, I have been overwhelmed by the transformational impact they have. Vulnerable children flourish in the safe havens that the Art Room provide."
We love seeing Kate with so much energy even while six months pregnant, and it sounds like she’s using it for a great cause!
