Best known as: Mike in Growing Pains, Buck in The Left Behind movies
Golden era: Mid-‘80s to early ‘90s
Then: Mike Seaver was the Zack Morris of his day. With his cherubically curly hair and dimples, Kirk Cameron definitely ranks among one of our first crushes. The fact that his sister is Full House’s Candace Cameron made us think he belonged to the coolest family in the world. His conversion to Christianity at 17 is rumored to have caused conflict on Growing Pains when he wanted to tone down some scenes on the already squeaky-clean show.
Now: Married to his former Growing Pains co-star Chelsea Noble, Kirk has six children. The couple has worked together on many projects since the show, including the short-lived program Kirk (1995) and the movie Fireproof (2008). The uber-conservative actor also has a ministry, The Way of the Master, and continues working with his wifey on films that reinforce what he considers to be ideal family values. When we last saw him, he was using Macklemore's performance of pro gay marriage anthem Same Love at the Grammy Awards to promote his latest film, which has something to do with baseball and features "Tim Hawkins, you know, the Chik-Fil-A song guy." (Somehow, we don't think he meant this Chik-Fil-A song.)
