It's look like one of FOX's original comedies might not be so original after all! The network, as well as New Girl's creators, are being sued for plagiarizing a comedy pilot script that sounds dangerously familiar to Jess Day's adventures with her bachelor roommates.

The pilot, Square One (not to be confused with the PBS educational show of the same name), follow's the creator's real-life experience of moving in with three bachelors after discovering her husband was having an affair. Sound familiar? Those who watched the beginning of New Girl will remember that at first, Jess moved in out of desperation after discovering her live-in boyfriend cheating on her. While that does sound pretty similar, we are, of course, wondering if the original pilot included an awkward naked pillow dance.

The writers of Square One are seeking creator credits on New Girl, as well as a big ol' pile of monetary damages — plus an injunction that would halt production and distribution.

Is New Girl's alleged plagiarism going to keep you from watching the show? Sound off below!
