Celebified partner site Latino Review sat down with Kit Harington (Jon Snow, Game of Thrones), Emily Browning, and Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje to talk about their upcoming action disaster flick, Pompeii. Hear what they had to say about working on such an epic film, and the connections Harington made with co-star Emily Browning!
"I think that when I read [the script], it was very well balanced on paper and that's one of the reasons I liked it," says Kit, explaining that "sometimes you can overload the audience... in a big disaster film like this."
"It's my first lead in a movie," he says, but adds, "I felt I could do it justice."
Co-star Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje is a bigger dude than Kit, so did he have to hold back during their epic fight scenes? "I felt like he had something to prove," Adewale joked. "He would go at it!"
With fight choreography, Adewale says, "ultimately there has to be this trust and symmetry with your partner. They're very intricate scenes, and they're dangerous!"
"I have a few 'Kitty cuts,' and he has a few 'Ade bruises,'" he admits.
Kit and Adewale aren't the only tough cookies in this film, though! Emily Browning, while initially drawn to the film for the historical story, says that she was also drawn to her character, Cassia, because she "didn't want to be this kind of girl that gets rescued."
"I'm glad that Cassia is able to stand up for herself," she says.
