That Awkward Moment, Neighbors, and High School Musical star Zac Efron had a little more than car trouble when he and a bodyguard ran out of gas in Downtown Los Angeles's Skid Row, according to a report from TMZ. In case you missed our previous coverage, police say they arrived right in the middle of a scuffle — Zac and his bodyguard versus what appeared to be a group of transients — and that Zac told them how the whole thing went down.
Zac's story, police say, is that he and his bodyguard pulled over when they ran out of gas and called a tow truck. While they were waiting, Zac reportedly told police, he threw a glass bottle out the window, landing right next to a group of people — who immediately retaliated against Zac's bodyguard. According to police, Zac says that he got a fist to the face when he jumped out of the vehicle in an attempt to defend his bodyguard.
The incident was ruled "mutual combat," reports TMZ, and no arrests were made. Zac's rep has yet to comment on the alleged incident, including Zac's reported littering.
We're hoping that nobody involved got hurt! Maybe watch the gas gauge a little more closely next time?
