Any fans of New Girl out there? Oh, a couple. Good, good. Then you all are familiar with the delightful character that is Schmidt. But the curly-haired cutie that, in our estimation, steals nearly every episode of the Zooey Deschanel-backed Fox hit almost didn't appear on the show.
Actor Max Greenfield says he just about bid adieu to the whole Hollywood game, particularly after he became a father. The 33-year-old and his wife Tess Sanchez welcomed their first child together back in 2010, and it was then, with the new role of Dad to consider, that Max says he began to wonder when his pursuit of his acting dreams would cross the line and become nothing but "selfish."
This isn't the first time Max has confessed he had doubts he'd ever make it. Back in November 2012, Max guest starred as an editor on Gwyneth Paltrow's famous website, goop. There he wrote, "Two years ago, I was unemployed, my wife and I had just welcomed our daughter Lilly into our lives, and I was convinced that my dreams of being an actor were quickly beomcing a fading fantasy. This year, I was nominated for an Emmy Award."
And rightly so! Max has only gotten better and better as his time on New Girl's continued and we look forward to seeing even more from him ahead!
