Chris Harrison Reveals When Bachelor 2016 Will Be Announced! (UPDATE)

UPDATE (8/19/15):

At long last we have an official date when ABC will confirm what we’ve been looking forward to since June — the man chosen as the next Bachelor 2016!

“I am very, very excited to tell you that next week on this show, we are going to officially announce who the next Bachelor is — and he is going to join us here live!” Chris announced on this week’s After Paradise.

And let’s all be real, it’s going to be Ben Higgins, right? Sure, Nick Viall was gunning for the job, but when even Kaitlyn Bristowe and Andi Dorfman are championing you for the gig, you know you’ve got it in the bag.

Tune in for the big reveal live on After Paradise this coming Monday, August 24 at 9 p.m. ET on ABC.

Original story (8/4/15):

After Chris Harrison failed to fill us in on the next Bachelor is during The Bachelorette “After The Final Rose," we’ve been itching to know the answer. Rumors have all pointed to Kaitlyn Bristowe runner up Ben Higgins, but at this point, it could be anybody. So when are we finding out who we get to see next season?

According to Host Harrison, all will be revealed soon. On last night’s Bachelor in Paradise after show, After Paradise, Chris, who is an executive producer on the show, admitted he’s all over the decision-making process, explaining that we’ll find out who ABC has selected in the coming weeks.

“I will share this with you,” he said toward the end of the show. “We might be making this announcement on this show in the coming weeks.”

So you know what that means: Keep watching After Paradise after Bachelor in Paradise airs on Monday nights, or you'll miss the big announcement.

And as far as Ashley Iaconetti is concerned? Our KardAshley is a fan of Nick Viall as the next potential Bachelor, admitting that she swooned a bit meeting him in-person in NYC. Meanwhile, Scandal star Josh Malina is rooting for a “Bachelor of color” this time around — something that’s way overdue.

We can’t wait until all is revealed, especially since Chris made it sound like they’ve already been in talks with the lucky dude. Hopefully, ABC makes the announcement sooner rather than later, because we have been dying to know who it’ll be for what feels like forever!
