Could Robby Hayes or Luke Pell Be the Surprise ‘Bachelor’ 2018 Pick?

We’ve been so focused on Peter Kraus and Dean Unglert when it comes to the next Bachelor 2018 rumors, but could there be a dark horse contender?

We thought Wells Adams might be that dark horse after Twitter went all googly-eyed over the new bartender during the Bachelor in Paradise Season 4 premiere.

But a new report says there could be two more men waiting in the wings for the gig.

We’re talking about Robby Hayes and Luke Pell — two hunks who were buzzed about as possible leads last year following their runs on Bachelorette 2016.

Now, sources say the producers have circled back to the Texan singer-songwriter, despite some initial bad blood last year.

“Someone should be keeping an eye out for Luke, from JoJo [Fletcher]’s season,” the insider tells People.

The source continues, “Talks fell apart and so the producers pivoted to Nick.

“But Luke has made it clear to producers that he would love another chance at it and would do the show in a heartbeat.”

The 32-year-old is in a good place for the job now, as his country music career has taken off. He’s also a military veteran, which gets major bonus points in Bachelor Nation.

Add in that the hunk is reportedly single — he was last linked to former Miss Wyoming USA  Holly Allen in early July — and he’s a solid contender.

Then again, his pal Robby could snag the position out from under him, according to the same insider.

They claim there’s been “some conversation” around the 28-year-old in producer meetings, now that he’s returned to the public eye on the current fourth season of BIP.

“Right now he’s getting a questionable edit on Paradise, with Raven [Gates] mocking him a lot,” the source states, referring the skewering the male model got by his co-star and fans.

Social media had a field day with the Florida native over his overly-coiffed hair, “influencer” job title, and general lack of self-awareness.

Still, there’s still time for things to turn around — something the powers that be hoped for when they cast him.

“He’s been put on the show for a reason, to remind everyone of who he is and how hot he is,” the insider states.

“If the audience seems to be responding well to him, he’s got a real shot at it,” the source concludes.

Then again, last we checked, he was dating Amanda Stanton after sparking a romance on the summer spin-off.

Time will tell if that lasts!

Bachelor in Paradise airs Mondays and Tuesdays at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.
