Who’s the Next Bachelorette 2016? It’s Probably One of These Girls…
And now that we’ve officially met the 28 women vying for Ben Higgins’s heart in Season 20, we’re dying to know which gals are frontrunners for the coveted gig. Luckily, it’s never too early for some juicy intel.
Thanks to a variety of sources, we have a pretty good idea whom ABC producers have eyes on for Season 12. Though they likely won’t decide until later in the season — taking into account viewer reception — here’s who insiders have their money on, in order of least to most likely.
WARNING: Major spoilers for Ben’s Bachelor finale ahead. Read at your own risk!
For years, host Chris Harrison has been teasing we might get a celebrity Bachelor or Bachelorette someday, but could this year be the one? According to OK! magazine sources (via Hollywood Life), that’s a yes and Dancing With the Stars’ Rumer Willis is the gal most likely!
Says the insider, “Her agents are looking for wide assurances and controls so Rumer isn’t embarrassed by the experience, but she’s at the top of the list. ABC is convinced she’ll be ratings gold.”
Also in the 27-year-old’s favor is her connection to Bachelor Nation via her friendship with former Bachelor Chris Soules. Not in her favor? The show has never chosen someone outside the franchise, and we doubt they will now.
One eligible lady who is in the franchise is Jen Saviano, a 25-year-old online boutique owner competing on Ben’s season. In Touch magazine says Jen is “already the front-runner” from this season’s pack, and “the second she got out of the limo producers had their eye on her.”
She certainly is pretty, if not a bit young, and time will tell, but one problem: Producers have never given the role to someone outside of the Final Four, and Jen doesn’t make it there — in fact, according to Reality Steve, she comes in tenth place, so she’d really have to be memorable.
The most obvious pick to us is 24-year-old real estate wiz JoJo Fletcher. We previously told you it could be her, due to her ready-for-TV looks and business success.
However, as Ben’s runner-up for Season 20, ABC probably won’t give her it as filming begins the week after the finale airs. Can’t cry on national TV about being dumped and then immediately turn around and look for love!
That leaves third and fourth place finishers to duke it out for a chance to date 25 to 30 men publicly. If they go with third, that’s Caila Quinn who, at 23, would be by far the youngest Bachelorette. She’s also said to be quite divisive among contestants, and likely viewers. It’ll depend what sort of edit the bubbly software sales rep gets!
Our educated guess is 25-year-old Amanda Stanton will win out for producers and America. She might also be young, but the aesthetician is a single mother of two (so Emily Maynard!) and she even looks a bit like Andi Dorfman! Keep an eye on this one, guys.
The Bachelor Season 20 premieres Monday, January 4 on ABC.
