Who’s the Next Bachelorette 2017? 7 Frontrunners For Season 13 (PHOTOS)
Especially now that we have spoiler-y intel for the Final Four contestants on Season 21 — or, as we see it, the most likely choices for the gig.
Though ABC producers likely won’t decide until later in the season — taking into account viewer reception — we can place some solid bets based on historical choices.
Warning: Major spoilers ahead for Nick Viall’s Bachelor 2017. Read at your own risk!
First and most important to note is, of the 12 previous seasons of Bachelorette, every single lead finished in the Final Four, aka the Hometown Dates recipients.
Things did get switched up a bit with JoJo Fletcher, who was the first runner-up to get the role, but she still follows this pattern.
So taking that into account…
Thanks to Reality Steve, we know the four women taking Nick home to their families. One of those women we can immediately eliminate from contention is Corinne Olympios.
Why is Corinne out? Because the 24-year-old aspiring model is, as Steve tells it, this season’s villain. As we know by now, Bachelor producers aren’t going to choose someone unlikeable.
The other person out of the running is the winner, who the 36-year-old proposed to in the finale. That lady is…
Vanessa Grimaldi! Unfortunately (depending on how you see it), this 29-year-old special education teacher is off the market.
So that leaves two of the finalists as the strongest possibilities. However, there are some other contestants (past and present) who could shake things up. Read on for our 7 best picks, in order from least to most likely.
OK, so this one might be a long shot. However, the Bachelorette 2014 star did win over public sympathy this year with her much-talked about memoir, It’s Not Okay, detailing her allegedly emotionally abusive relationship with Josh Murray.
This could be the franchise’s way to make it up to her — plus, she’s still single!
Emily & Haley Ferguson
Kaitlyn Bristowe and Britt Nilsson’s double-Bachelorette gimmick didn’t really work, but using twins might change all that. After all, they’re hilarious, clear favorites of producers, and love doing everything together. Only problem? We hear they’re both currently in relationships.
Hey, that could change by March, considering they’re only 23.
We haven’t met Elizabeth yet but it sounds like the 29-year-old world traveler will be one to watch this season — mainly due to her past fling with Nick at the Janner wedding.
It’s a great story, and we trust she’s a good egg since she is Jade Roper’s bestie. She might be eliminated too early, though.
Another contestant to watch is this 31-year-old Nashville-based gal, who is bound to bring the emotions this season thanks to her tragic backstory of losing her fiancé five years ago to a drug overdose.
Then again, Danielle’s run on the season is still TBD, so she might not be around long enough to win over viewers.
Much like Andi, the Bach producers really owe Caila after taking away her Season 12 lead and giving it to JoJo Fletcher last minute. A year and a tough BIP breakup later, this Disney princess might finally be ready to meet her prince.
Finally, we’re at our two most likely contenders with one of this season’s finalists, 25-year-old boutique owner Raven Gates.
Though she might be young, Raven’s clearly accomplished and was mature enough to win over a Bachelor who’s got a decade on her. Still, after JoJo, we’re hoping for someone a little older.
That brings us to 31-year-old lawyer, Rachel! She’s educated, beautiful, age-appropriate, and, yes, a woman of color. Plus, we hear she’s definitely likable this season.
It’s about time ABC gives a non-white woman her due on this show, and it sounds like they have the perfect option in this Dallas gal!
The Bachelor Season 21 premieres Monday, January 2 at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.
