Grey’s Anatomy: What’s Next For Sandra Oh After She Leaves the Show?

Sandra Oh (Cristina Yang) only has weeks of shooting before production on Grey's Anatomy Season 10 wraps and she hangs up her stethoscope for the last time. So what's next on the docket for the five-time Emmy nominee?

"Tammy, which is Melissa McCarthy's new film, [is] going to be opening next summer, and I'm in that," the 42-year-old tells On the Red Carpet. "And I will be going to Chicago, and doing a play at Victory Gardens. I'm doing Death and the Maiden."

Hold up — Sandra and Melissa McCarthy? We can't wait for that comedic chemistry. Melissa plays the titular character — who loses her job and her husband and then goes on the road with her lewd and boozy grandmother. Allison Janney (Mom), Susan Sarandon (The Big Wedding), and Kathy Bates (American Horror Story: Coven) co-star in the laugh-fest.

Death in the Maiden sounds much more serious. In a new democracy, a commissioner investigating the crimes of the old regime hitches a ride with a man who, as it turns out, may have tortured his wife (played by Sandra) years earlier in a military detention center. The play opens at Chicago's Victory Gardens Biograph Theater on June 13.

Sandra is apparently still attached to the film 33 Liberty Lane — about four friends who team up to start a phone-sex business —but the status of the film has been "unknown" for nine months on IMDb.

Whatevs — sounds like we'll still get our Sandra fix regardless!
