Jennifer Lawrence: Nicholas Hoult and I “Mutually Ignore Each Other” (VIDEO)

How do you successfully date Jennifer Lawrence? Ignore here. That’s what the 23-year-old star tells Marie Claire in her new interview with the magazine.

J.Law, of course, is dating fellow X-Men: First Class hottie, Nicholas Hoult (her boyfriend with the, as she puts it and we heartily agree, “beautiful face”). They started dating during the first reboot of X-Men only to go on and off-again until the sequel sealed the deal, bringing them back together and smashing the dreams of men and women the world over.

But just because they’re back to being serious doesn’t mean Jennifer and Nicholas’ schedules have slowed down and they’ve found a way to make it work.

“When we’re busy, we agree to mutually ignore each other,” Jennifer tells Marie Claire. “Not completely, but neither of us gets mad when the other doesn’t text back or call. Life’s super busy. Obviously you know what they’re doing, and you trust them.”

Can we get a round of applause for maturity? Jennifer may only be 23 (24 this August!) but the Academy Award winner sounds years older in her reasonable approach to relationships. And even if these two weren’t as famous as they are, they’d still be taking things slow, Jennifer says.

“We’re so young that it would almost be like if we lived in the same city, what would happen? We’d be living together,” she explains. “At least this way he’s in the same boat as I am: We can go out and have our own lives and know that we have each other.”

Our favorite part of this uncharacteristic relationship share from J.Law? The social media suggestions she sends Nick’s way and (smartly) he declines. “I sometimes come up with things that I think he needs to tweet, like ‘Let the panda bears die’ — you know, just to f—k with people — and he’s just like, ‘No.’ He never supports my ideas on his Twitter.”

Well, nobody’s perfect.
