Of all the accolades Jennifer Lawrence has received these past two awards seasons — for her critically-heralded roles in Silver Linings Playbook and American Hustle — we'd presume that the most meaningful kudos comes from her boyfriend, Skins actor Nicholas Hoult.
"She deserves it all," Nicholas told the Associated Press on January 18, as he promoted his film Young Ones at the Sundance Film Festival in Park City, Utah. "It's fun to watch."
Nicholas met the three-time Oscar nominee in 2011 on the set of the superhero prequel X-Men: First Class — in which he played Beast and Jen portrayed Mystique. They broke up briefly in early 2013 but rekindled their relationship shortly thereafter.
Plus, Jen and Nick are each other's biggest advocates. Jen urged Nicholas to take a lead role in the upcoming futuristic romance Equals after director Drake Doremus — who directed Jen in Like Crazy — shared the script with her.
"We both loved the script," Nicholas says. "It's epic in proportion, but centered on these specific relationships."
Nicholas will co-star with Kristen Stewart in the film, and the Twilight actress denies all the rumors about a K.Stew-J.Law feud.
"[Jennifer and I] were actually sitting in a corner with Emma Watson, as well — the three of us," Kristen recounts to AP. "We were like, 'Wow, this is strange. This is really cool.' … I think people assume that actresses don't want to [be friends]. It was kind of a great feeling, to be honest."
