Nick and Vanessa Lachey Talk Parenthood and Pose with Camden For Parents Magazine!

Nick and Vanessa Lachey have come a long way since meeting on the set of Nick’s music video, “What’s Left Of Me.” While they were acting as ex lovers in the video, they actually got married in real life, and now are the proud parents of their 20-month-old son, Camden. Nick and Vanessa recently spoke to Parents magazine about — you guessed it — parenthood, and the family of three even posed for the cover. They’re practically picture-perfect!

"We're learning together and figuring it out along the way," Nick tells Parents. "At least we think we've figured it out. I guess we'll find out down the line if we screwed up or not!"

The two certainly make a great team when it comes to raising Camden; in fact, they can’t stop praising one another! "My wife's maternal side is a new dynamic to her personality — and it's definitely made her even sexier," Nick adds.

As for Nick taking on fatherhood for the first time? Vanessa always knew he would make a great dad. "I knew the man I was going to marry was not only a great man, a good friend, and a family guy, but he was going to respect and treat me well and be an amazing father and role model to our children,” she says. “That's Nick."

Now just because these two are parents, doesn’t mean they don’t carve out time to be together. In fact, their date nights start promptly at 7:30 p.m. — just after they put little Camden down for bed. "We put on some music or a favorite TV show, pour a glass of wine, have dinner — that's our 'alone time,'" Vanessa reveals. “When you've got the little one between you, it's not as romantic as when the two of you are alone."

In terms of growing their little family, Nick and Vanessa are taking their time. "We definitely want more kids. You don't want kids to have to share the same group of friends,” assures Nick, while Vanessa counters, "But you don't want them so far apart that they have nothing in common.” Sounds like it’s only a matter of time until Camden becomes a big bro!
