Bachelor Nick Viall Texting Newly-Single Amanda Stanton — Report

We have a feeling Josh Murray isn’t going to like this news — whether it’s true or not.

Just a few weeks after the Bachelor in Paradise 3 hunk and fiancée Amanda Stanton called off their engagement, rumors are swirling she’s been texting with another guy. And that guy? Her ex’s longtime foe, Nick Viall.

The bad blood between the two reality stars goes all the way back to Bachelorette 2014, when they faced off for Andi Dorfman’s heart in the finale.

Josh came out on top in that situation, but his engagement to Andi didn’t last, and she later penned a tell-all, detailing his alleged controlling and verbally abusive behavior.

That brought us to their second face-off — on Paradise’s third season.

During the summer spin-off, Nick and Amanda hit it off right away, before Josh swooped in and stole her heart yet again.

However, the current Bachelor 2017 star insisted he and the single mom were just friends after that, and they’ve stayed friendly — even after she got engaged in the BIP finale.

But now, the SoCal gal is single yet again, and we’re hearing she’s back in touch with her Paradise “pal.”

“[Nick] texted Amanda once news broke of her breakup,” a source tells Life & Style of the early December split.

At the time, the 36-year-old fella had been engaged for about a month himself, to the winner of his Season 21 (spoil yourself over here!).

So why was he thinking of another woman?

Though the insider questions Nick’s intentions for the supposed text, it sounds pretty benign to us.

"He wanted to reach out and say, ‘Hey,’ but that’s not what a happily engaged guy should be doing!" the source says.

Now, we’re skeptical of this whole story, but Amanda’s recent tweet does at least confirm the two remain on good terms.

“Poor Nick! That slap looked like it hurt haha I could definitely think of someone more deserving of that..” she tweeted during Monday’s Bachelor, which showed the reality star getting slapped by his contestant in a “break up” skit.

Clearly, the 26-year-old beauty still cares about her friend’s well-being — and doesn’t seem to care much for someone else (cough, Josh, cough).

Not only did she seemingly shade her former fiancé in that post, but she also recently admitted the two are no longer speaking.

“We’re just going to go our separate ways,” she told People. “I wish him the best.”
