Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos Tell Nick Viall He “Should Be Single” (VIDEO)
The jury is still out on how Season 21 is going to end, but there are two people who have already made up their mind he won’t — Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos.
The married couple were co-hosting Live With Kelly this morning when the Bachelor stopped by to talk about the drama of his current season.
If you missed it, let’s just say they certainly read him the riot act when it came to his behavior with his contestants.
“You might be the first Bachelor in history where the women end up emotionally reassuring you,” Kelly kicks things off, referring to the 36-year-old’s breakdown at the end of Episode 6.
The Wisconsin native seemed a little uncomfortable about that comment, but the worst was yet to come.
For his part, Mark had a pretty strong opinion about how Nick should live his life: without a wife or girlfriend.
“Nick, I watched this last night — and I didn’t sleep very well,” the Pitch star mused. “But I figured it out: You should be single.”
He continues to the bewildered-looking hunk, “Look at you! You’re a tall, handsome guy. You smell really nice.”
Not only does the guest host think he would do well on the singles market, but he and his wife have a theory as to why he hasn’t found love — on the show or otherwise.
“You went dark!” the 45-year-old actor notes. “As soon as they told you they liked you, you were like, ‘Oh my gosh, I’ve got this one, I need to move on.’”
Kelly agrees, chiming in, “You like the thrill of the hunt,” though Nick continues to insist Danielle just “wasn’t the right fit.”
None of them are the right fit, according to the daytime anchor, who warns Mr. VIall he should “run away” from girls like 25-year-old Corinne Olympios, who has a nanny.
In fact, they think television ultimately isn’t the best route for him.
“I think that you need to find love outside of TV,” the 46-year-old recalls of her single years. “We used to meet at the club, or at work. … Go to the bars!”
Could they be wrong, though?
That’s what Nick asks them, saying, “What if this all works out?”
Unfortunately, that’s never going to happen, according to them.
“I don’t think it’s going to,” the outspoken blonde quips, to which Mark adds, “That’s a big ‘if,’ dude.”
