“I have to say this all the time, but I want people to know it's genuinely from my heart," she explains. "I love the people on Idol. I genuinely do."
"If I had to do this all over again, I would have done Idol," she claims. "Because it's fun, it's laughs."
There have been rumors of bad blood between her and judge Mariah Carey, not to mention speculation about multiple judges getting fired at the end of the season, but Nicki prefers to focus on the good times.
“It's kind of sad that what people read all the time is only when something is negative," Nicki says. "But they don't realize that we built a family. I feel happy here and I have to thank them for giving me this chance. They could have picked anyone in the world. And they picked me. So that's all I'll say about that.”
But will Nicki return as a judge next season?
“That’s the million-dollar question,” she teases.
Fellow judge Randy Jackson has officially announced this week that he will not return to the show, and rumor has it that Mariah may be fired soon.
So will Nicki live to judge another day? We'll have to wait and see.
