Full Name: Alexander Harper "Xander" Berkeley
Hometown: Brooklyn, NY
Born: December 16, 1955
Xander Berkeley spent his early career working at university theaters in New Jersey before he made his screen debut in Mommie Dearest as Christopher Crawford. He’s been in films ranging from blockbusters like Terminator 2, Apollo 13 and A Few Good Men to indies like Safe and Candyman. Other credits include Gattaca (with Uma Thurman and Ethan Hawke), Air Force One (with Harrison Ford), and Barb Wire (with Pamela Anderson).
In 2001, Berkeley had a recurring role on 24 as George Mason, the head of the Counterterrorism Unit. Although his character died sacrificially at the end of the season, Berkeley himself made it out with more than just his life: he met actress Sarah Clarke (the villianous Nina) on-set, and the pair are now married with two daughters.
Xander is also a makeup artist, painter, and sculptor.
