Full Name: Shane West (formerly “Shannon Bruce Snaith“)
Hometown: Baton Rouge, Louisiana
Born: June 10, 1978

Here’s a familiar face to any woman who ever watched ER and dreamt of Dr. Ray Barnett asking her to open wide and say “aaagh”: goateed — yet baby-faced — Shane West.

The Louisiana native first got into acting after “being forced” to take an acting class in high school, but it wasn’t until 1999 when he appeared in ABC's Once and Again that he got his major breakthrough. Since then, he’s made his mark on the screen within such films as Liberty Heights (1999), Whatever It Takes (2000), A Walk to Remember (2002, opposite Mandy Moore), and What We Do Is Secret (2007), in which he played bisexual, heroin-addicted punk legend Darby Crash.

Aside from acting, Shane writes music and plays guitar with his band, Johnny Was (formerly Average Jo).
